Work is continuing on Goresbrook Free School in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, with the Primary School Phase 1 now complete ahead of schedule.
The Secondary School (Phase 2) is now well underway, with the project on schedule to be complete later this year.
The remit for Goresbrook was to deliver a high quality building, within a challenging time frame and remain within the client’s budget.
By using Offsite modular construction, using our ‘Think Smart. Build Smart.’ philosophy it was an ideal choice for the delivery of this project, as the challenging time frame was mitigated against by delivering 80% of the classroom build offsite. The speed at which McAvoy can co-ordinate and produce a bespoke solution tailored to suit any given environment is of particular benefit to the education sector.
