The Endeavour School in Essex was officially opened early in March following a successful build project by McAvoy Group. The Brentwood school, which was finished to a turnkey standard, was officially unveiled at a special opening ceremony in March when Lord Petre, Lord Lieutenant of Essex was there to cut the ribbon.
The Endeavour School principal, Mr Mick Southgate said: “We have held our official opening and the next day the pupils were in. It was a great day for all of us.” The new school premises, which included four permanent new classrooms, a car park and external works, was designed and built by McAvoy.
The off site construction was completed to a turnkey standard and included project management, consultancy, planning services and landscaping. In addition to new classrooms, brand new toilet provisions and access to these facilities as well as drainage design have been installed at the school campus.
The building also meets all current criteria and relevant statutory requirements, so the school community can trust the modern construction techniques in terms of safety and welfare of the pupils and staff. The elevation design of the new building echoes and complements the existing structure while façade materials reflect the current colour palette.
