Offsite construction for a smarter tomorrow

About Us

The McAvoy Group is one of the leading offsite specialists in the UK and Ireland, offering the full range of design, manufacturing, fitting out and construction services for the delivery of high quality, affordable and sustainable buildings in the health, education, residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors.

McAvoy Office

Financially sound and independent, this award-winning business has been successfully delivering bespoke, fast-track offsite schemes and interim modular buildings for almost 50 years. Its projects are completed in up to half the time of in-situ construction, with significantly less impact on the environment, greater certainty of completion on time and budget and a highly flexible, agile approach to building.

The Group has two purpose-built manufacturing centres spanning more than 120,000sqft and is leading the construction industry in its application of digital technology and virtual reality. These new technologies optimise efficiency and enhance collaboration and customer engagement from design to manufacture and site installation. McAvoy was the first offsite specialist to be accredited to BIM Level 2.

McAvoy is accredited under a number of public sector construction frameworks, including the Department for Education, Crown Commercial Service, NHS Shared Business Services, NHS London Procurement Partnership, LHC Modular Buildings Framework, and the Southern Modular Building Framework.

McAvoy has a long established and trusted supply chain and recognises that collaboration and knowledge-sharing are essential, working with its suppliers and subcontractors at every level from the earliest stages of a project.

McAvoy has become the very first offsite specialist to achieve Chartered Building Company status with the Chartered Institute of Building. We have joined an elite group of companies bearing the CIOB brand, which is recognised as a kitemark for quality and excellence. Our new CBC status will be an important factor in attracting new construction talent into the business. We already have a significant number of CIOB members at board level as well as in our wider construction management operations. Our clients now have even greater certainty that our business is managed professionally, meets ethical codes and has robust policies in areas such as health and safety, equal opportunities, and environmental performance.

All our projects are registered as a Considerate Constructor Scheme, helping to improve the image of the construction industry by striving to promote and achieve best practice under the Code. Further enhanced by our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations.
