Naas Community College
A post-primary, multi-denominational, co-educational new build school located in the commuter town of Naas.
A growing demand for school places in the area saw McAvoy execute a 3255 m2 two-storey permanent building with 14 classrooms as part of the Rapid Build Programme in what was a 32-week programme and a joint venture with Glasgiven Contract.

The Craddockstown Road address is a green field site where the new 3,255 m2 education facility was handed over following a 32-week programme which saw a new two-storey permanent building with 14 classrooms installed, and a temporary block which houses specialist rooms such as art, home economics, technology and science.
Naas Community College includes a main school building constructed with a 150mm concrete ground floor slab with 25mm insulation, radon barrier, steel floor cassettes, insulation and plywood to the temporary building.
The external wall construction includes a render finish on 100mm blockwork wall with 110mm air cavity, 140mm insulated timber wall panels with 11mm OSB to both sides finished with heavy duty plasterboard internally. The roof features a Kingspan KS1000 roof panel with 200mm Knuaf acoustic insulation fixed to a soffit panel. The windows and doors are aluminium double glazed with a double glazed rooflight and natural ventilation and Duco vent installed to the window systems.
Green credentials were high on The McAvoy Group's priority list and as a result a rainwater harvesting system is also a feature.
