Carysfort National School
The McAvoy Group helped solve a classic classroom bulge problem at a Blackrock-based school through the speedy supply of four new-build temporary modular classrooms for a hire period of 12 months.
The 12.2m x 6.2m galvanized steel framed modular units were built from scratch at McAvoy’s state-of-the-art factory and installed within a ‘live’ environment at Carysfort National School, Convent Road, Blackrock in September ’16 and March ’17.
To minimise disruption McAvoy co-ordinated delivery of the classrooms outside school hours. All buildings supplied to the school met the full building regulations. McAvoy was also responsible for all associated site works.
McAvoy’s Swords-base in the Republic of Ireland, as well as their experience in providing high quality temporary accommodation for schools, made it a convenient, reliable choice for the project.
According to School Principal, Norma Linehan, McAvoy solved a problem with faultless professionalism.
“Having The McAvoy Group responsible for both site works and providing the temporary modular classrooms meant a seamless process. They are a very efficient company which makes them easy to work with. The standard of their temporary accommodation is excellent. Students and teachers are very happy with their classrooms. I would highly recommend The McAvoy Group.”
