Royal Dutch Shell uses McAvoy Units in Oman

McAvoy Group has developed modular labs for use by Royal Dutch Shell in oil and gas exploration work in Oman.

McAvoy Group supplied two of its industry leading Safe Space units in a longstanding collaboration with Alpha Environmental, another Northern Ireland company that works closely with the global oil industry.

The 120 sqm units have been kitted out with sophisticated equipment for testing samples by scientists. They also feature air conditioning and water purification units. The units, based on McAvoy’s robust and highly successful anti-vandal units, were shipped to Oman by the group.  The group has also supplied modular labs to Nigeria.

McAvoy Safe Space units have been designed to meet the specific requirements of clients seeking a high level of security for staff and other users, as well as costly equipment and property.

The benefits of our Safe Space units include security, a long life span, low maintenance costs, excellent vandal and arson resistance and ease of re-location. The anti-vandal units are used widely throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland by leading contractors and public authorities.

McAvoy solutions include designs for stacking the units and a range of certified fire-rated units.

The units are used in a range of applications including welfare units, which are available with their own diesel generator for light, heat and plumbing, stores, changing rooms, modular buildings, offices – standard and fire-rated, halting accommodation and ticket booths.
