Orla Corr, McAvoy Group Director, formally managing director, has been inducted into the Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame.
Orla Corr, McAvoy Group managing director, received Northern Ireland’s foremost business accolade for her entrepreneurial leadership of the company at a glittering gala occasion in Belfast.
Orla became the first woman to be inducted into the Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame in recognition of her business achievements with the McAvoy Group, now one of the UK and Ireland’s leaders in off-site construction techniques.
She is among just 13 businesspeople in the prestigious Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame, which is organised by Invest Northern Ireland as part of its focus on increasing the level of business enterprise in Northern Ireland.
Presenting the award, Stephen Kingon, Invest NI Chairman, paid tribute to Orla’s achievement in transforming a family business into an international company with an annual turnover in excess of £40 million in just 10 years.
