McAvoy has carried out numerous projects where buildings have been manufactured off-site in a flat-pack panelised form to enable installation on-site due to various restrictions, such as:
- Limited access on-site
- Complexity of design
- Building dimensions in excess of transport or shipping maximum.
Typical unit dimensions are as follows:
- Length – No restrictions
- Width – No restrictions
- Height – Internal Floor to Ceiling, no restrictions.
This system allows more architectural scope as the design is not critically limited by modular dimensions. The only limits on panel dimensions relate to transportation.
Panelised structures are delivered and erected on-site as a series of flat panels.
Panelised structures are the solution when solid ground floors are required for reasons connected with the building function.
