Steel
McAvoy steel framed buildings are designed to achieve a 60 year structural design life. Modules are manufactured from hot and cold-formed steel sections in a design appropriate to individual building requirements.
- Limited access on-site
- Complexity of design
- Building dimensions in excess of transport or shipping maximum.
The frame can be designed to achieve large open plan working areas. Where required load bearing steel posts can be concealed within partitions to allow greater loadings to be accommodated on the floors above.
Typical unit dimensions are as follows:
- Length – Maximum 15000mm (in 1200mm increments)
- Width – Maximum 3600mm
Modules with other dimensions for specific projects are also manufactured. - Height – Internal Finished Floor to Structural Ceiling. Maximum 3300mm, in any increment, as a volumetric unit. This can be increased if units are supplied flat-packed for assembly on-site.
The units can be positioned end-to-end or side-by-side to maximise the footprint required. They can also be stacked to a maximum of 6 storeys high.
Fire Rating:
Our designs permit various Fire Ratings to be achieved. The Fire Rating of each building is subject to the site requirements, the applicable Building Regulations and any specific requirements of the customer.
