We’re thrilled to have won Healthcare Project of the Year at the 2020 Offsite Awards for a project we’re all very proud of; Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital’s brand new £15million wing and Ambulatory Unit.
The new building had to integrate seamlessly with the existing building and be fully operational just 11 months after our team started on site. Offsite made the timeframe possible.
Innovative offsite solutions integrated with the existing hospital building, reducing the build programme by 50% and allowing care to continue as normal within the hospital. The new wing was designed to complement the existing building, mirroring its façade and including in-situ built curves.
The building was craned into position as 294 steel-framed modules in a highly complex operation that was completed just 10 months after the initial meeting with the Trust.
The quality of factory construction far exceeded the Trust’s expectations, achieved exceptional value for money and met the Trust’s stringent quality standards.
